Info EASA Part 66!

The EASA Part 66 licenses are:
— A1 and B1.1 Airplanes with Turbine-Engines
— A2 and B1.2 Airplanes with  Piston-Engines
— A3 and B1.3 Helicopters with Turbine-Engines
— A4 and B1.4 Helicopters with  Piston-Engines
— Category B2 = Avionics
— Category C = Hangar Maintenance Chief

Exams you must pass:
B1.1 Modules 1 to 11, 15 & 17  Airplanes with Turbine-Engines
B1.2 Modules 1 to 11, 16 & 17 Airplanes with  Piston-Engines
B1.3 Modules 1 to 10, 12 & 15  Helicopters with Turbine-Engines
B1.2 Modules 1 to 10, 12 & 16 Helicopters with  Piston-Engines
B2 Modules 1 to 10, 13 & 14 Avionics

You must be 18 years of age to be able to appy for the EASA Part 66 Licence!

What is the format of the exam?
All modular exams are in multiple-choice format. Some modular exams include an essay component. Essay questions are drawn from the modular learning outcomes identified in Part-66  which means Module 7(2) , 9(1) & 10 (1) essay.

Passing rate is 75%  (Part 66 Appendix II 1.7-1.8).
All Modules of the EASA Part 66 must be passed within five years from the first exam on!
Except extension exams for your licence!

The use of any devices that can perform mathematical calculations or display mathematical formulas is prohibited. This includes calculators, rulers, watches, iPods, PDAs, cell phones, etc. The use of a dictionary is not allowed for either multiple-choice or essay exams.

After having passed all exams:

You will need to submit a completed EASA Form 19 together with the required documentation to your competent authority - UK CAA. 
You apply for the licence with your work experience log book signed by one of your supervisors with sufficient work experience!
